Tucked into West Asheville, Terra Futura is a refuge where privacy and community coexist. Across our three acres, homes are clustered around common spaces designed specifically to pull us out of our private routines and back into connection with each other.
Make yourself at home
Every design detail is a choice made with sustainability and well-being in mind. Our two- and three-bedroom townhomes separate living space from sleeping quarters, creating a sense of order and calm. We chose cork flooring and wool carpet for their warmth and durability, and the front porches face the community, inviting the neighborhood into your daily life. Because we believe your home should respect the earth as much as it serves you, each home is Green Built-certified and equipped with ENERGY STAR appliances and efficient heating and cooling systems.

Shared spaces
Our shared spaces are invitations to slow down. That might mean picking a handful of blueberries on your way home or stepping out for fresh herbs while dinner is on the stove. Whether it’s a conversation at the picnic tables or an evening around the fire pit, these areas belong to all of us and help intertwine life with our neighbors.

Regenerative neighborhood
We built Terra Futura as an agrihood and a sustainable community where caring for the earth is part of the daily routine. Instead of forcing a plan onto the land, we let the barn, trees, and natural slope of the terrain shape the layout. We use permaculture principles designed around the land’s natural features, like rain gardens that collect runoff from the homes, to work with nature rather than against it.
But regeneration is also about people. It means creating a culture where neighbors depend on each other in small, everyday ways. You might find yourself lending a tool, sharing a ride, or helping out in the garden. These simple acts rebuild the social connections that modern life often strips away while allowing for participation at your own pace.

The main garden sits on the hill at the heart of the farm near play areas and the community barn. Next additions are coming soon, starting with a hot tub this winter followed by an outdoor kitchen, sauna, and cold plunge to round out the wellness area in spring 2027.
